St. JAMES’ EPISCOPAL CHURCH in La Grange, Texas is seeking an
organist/accompanist. The position requires accompanying choir rehearsals and
playing for the 10:30 am service. Rehearsals are before and after worship. Extra
rehearsals and performances at Christmas and Easter are also expected.
Compensation is commensurate with proficiency and experience with
consideration also for travel.
Our instruments include a Steinway piano and an electronic Johannus
organ (2004). Stops using sound samples from some of the finest European
organs make this a unique and beautiful instrument. Built in 1885, the
church is one of the historic jewels in the Diocese of Texas. Our website is
www.stjameslagrange.org. If interested, please contact the church at (979)
968-3910 and ask for Don Kirby.
