The Men’s Club

Calling All Men

The mission of the St. James’ Men’s Club is to benefit the various nonprofit organizations in and around Fayette County. The most visible way they do this is via their monthly cook in the church parking lot. Here they smoke hundreds of chickens and sausages in “Pinky’s Pit” and sell the results to customers who drive through. The cook has become a local tradition that has contributed thousands of dollars to area charities over the years.

The Episcopal Church Women’s Club sells baked goods to those customers also for charitable giving.

A close second-tier mission of the Men’s Club is undoubtedly the camaraderie produced in part by their monthly supper-time club meetings.

Monthly Meetings: Every second Monday of the month, except December.

Cooks: Every second Saturday of the month, except August (too hot) and November (turkey cook donation to Family Crisis Center).

Christmas Party for Church Members: The second Tuesday of December.
