Prayer Shawl Ministry

Knitters wanted

This new ministry at St. James, It is a minstry started many years ago by an Episcopal priest who also loved to knit. These shawls are knitted with prayers and love and given to people who are grieving, ill or in despair.

The recipient...male or female, child or adult, is given the shawl and told that he or she is "covered in prayer"...which is true!

Everyone is invited to join The Prayer Shawl Ministry...if you used to knit and need a refresher, or if you want to learn, we are here for you! All supplies (yarn, patterns, and needles) will be provided for your first shawl.
